The annual Big Milwaukee Question—”What was the Summerfest attendance this year?”—has been answered.

On Tuesday, Summerfest parent company Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) announced that 602,231 folks attended Summerfest 2025. That’s an approximate 8% increase from 2024. So there you go.

The 2025 installment took place over three consecutive Thursday-Saturday “weekends”: June 19-21, June 26-28, and July 3-5. It was fun.

The festival drew 555,925 attendees in 2024, down from 624,407 in 2023. In 2022, Summerfest drew 445,611 fans. In 2021—a late-summer installment and the first year of the nine-day, three-weekend format—409,386 folks showed up. Summerfest 2020 was canceled due to COVID. Summerfest 2019 drew 718,144 attendees. At the time, the 2019 attendance was Summerfest’s lowest in more than 30 years.
