Summerfest, a.k.a. The World’s Largest Music Festival, descends on Henry Maier Festival Park June 26-30, and July 2-7. Notice a gap there? The Big Gig takes a day off on Monday, July 1. Those picnic tables don’t clean themselves.
So what to do on this awful, listless day of no Summerfest during Summerfest? Rest? Relax? Go to work? No. Shank Hall has the one and only answer: Pat McCurdy Kiefer Sutherland.
“Summerfest is rolling out their great schedule between June 26-July 7,” says a Shank Hall press release, “but they do leave a gap when they close on July 1. Problem solved. Shank Hall is proud to present the return of Kiefer Sutherland.”
Hell yeah. Last seen gracing the Shank stage in 2016, the Stand By Me/Lost Boys/24/Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me actor will indeed drop by Monday, July 1 in support of his new album, Reckless & Me. Tickets are $40 and go on sale Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m. Also, isn’t it weird that he’s randomly in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me?
