Durham-by-way-of-Milwaukee electro-pop duo Sylvan Esso have been having what music industry insiders call “a really, really, really big year.” Amelia Meath and former Milwaukeean Nick Sanborn met at a Cactus Club show back in 2010; fast-forward four years, and Sylvan Esso’s self-titled debut is being hailed as one of the best albums of the year, leading to a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. And while Meath and Sanborn did play this year’s Burnhearts/Pabst Street Party, perhaps it was inevitable that they would outgrow any other small-ish Milwaukee shows.

And that’s just what has happened: Sylvan Esso’s previously scheduled Friday, September 5 show at the Cactus Club has been moved to the Pabst Theater. General admission tickets are $15, and go on sale Friday, July 25 at noon. All tickets already purchased for the Cactus show will be honored.
