Summer is the best. Join Milwaukee Record and Miller High Life August 5-12 as we search the city and beyond for the Spirit Of Summer.

Even though there are still things to do, festivals to attend, and horseshoes to pitch, that end-of-summer feeling is beginning to creep in. The vast majority of summertime happenings have come and gone, days are gradually getting shorter, and the Packers season is on the horizon. Try to savor what’s left of summer because it’ll be over before you know it.

If you need something to listen to as you deal with that wistful feeling of summer’s impending exodus and while you try to cram a season’s worth of activity into 40-some days, we have just the thing for you. We’re preparing to say farewell to summer (and informally ending this year’s Spirit Of Summer Week) by rounding up some Milwaukee-made songs that evoke the feeling of the season’s days being numbered.

You can listen to our “Dog Days Of Summer” playlist HERE or below. And as always, we’d like to remind you Spotify is terrible to artists, so if you happen to enjoy anything on this playlist, we urge you to listen to more material from those artists, buy their music or other merch directly or on Bandcamp, and see them perform live.
