Back in early March, just days before COVID-19 made its presence fully known in Milwaukee and the U.S. as a whole, we unveiled the lineup for our Tuesday Tunes music series at Crafty Cow. Over the course of eight Tuesdays in April and May, the series—sponsored by Indeed Brewing Company—was to feature an impressive cast of local musicians playing stripped-down sets at the Bay View burger and chicken joint. There were going to be food specials, $2 pints of Indeed, and no cover. It was going to be awesome.
Naturally, we scrambled to reschedule the series and, by some miracle, we were able to move it to fall without losing a single performer. While we did everything in our power to be ready to roll in October, much of the country seem to have a different idea. With COVID-19 concerns still very much in our minds, we’ve made the tough-but-necessary decision to cancel Tuesday Tunes this year.
We’ll hopefully be able to revive the series next spring, but who knows if that’ll actually be able to happen. As we wait, we urge you to support Crafty Cow and Indeed Brewing. We also suggest you throw some streams and some dollars in the direction of Holy Pinto, Joe Crockett & BJ Seidel, The Fainting Room, Caley Conway, Jay Matthes, Derek Pritzl & Andrew Koenig, No Seatbelts, and B~Free & Quinten Farr Duo because they’ve now lost some income. And please wear a mask in public and practice social distancing so we might be able to actually host a show again sometime in the next 10 years.
