Every Monday we run a feature called Record Recommended. It’s a hefty listing of the week/weekend’s notable shows, events, and more. As the title suggests, it’s not a complete show listing; instead, it’s stuff we think looks good and would recommend. Check it out every Monday! (Whenever we see someone bemoaning a show/event they missed because they “didn’t hear anything about it,” nine times out of 10 it was in that week’s Record Recommended.)

MKE Jazz Live is the work of Milwaukee jazz aficionado and organizer Ignacio Catral. In a social media post, Catral says his creation “pulls together live jazz shows from venues across the greater Milwaukee area in one place. No more checking a dozen different websites. 151 shows across 13 venues and growing.”
So yeah, add MKE Jazz Live to your local show listing diet! And don’t forget Record Recommended!
