Just a few weeks after Dermot Mulroney and his “Cali-Country” band jackrabbit performed at Milwaukee County Zoo as part of A La Carte at the Zoo comes news of another upcoming Milwaukee performance by a musical project that features a noted actor in its ranks. Yes, on Tuesday, October 20, Dogstar—the self-proclaimed “power trio” with none other than Keanu Reeves on bass—will take the stage at The Rave/Eagles Club. Tickets to the show go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, September 11. To quote Reeves himself, “Whoa.”
Formed in 1991, the rock band was active between high-profile Reeves roles until the early 2000s. Dogstar reunited and resumed writing songs together in 2020, then started playing out again in 2022 and released an album the following year. The band put out another album, All In Now, on May 29 of this year and have been on the road in support of the record for much of the summer. Whether you’re an ardent Dogstar devotee or you’re simply curious to see how John Wick handles a bass guitar, make your way to The Rave next month. We repeat: Whoa.
