Last month, we announced that Milwaukee Record was getting its very own stage at this year’s Bay View Bash. The news also came with an announcement that the Milwaukee Record Stage would be headlined by none other than Merge Records’ own Mike Krol. We held off on releasing any more details at that point because Summerfest was just around the corner and, more importantly, we hadn’t booked anyone else.

Now that some of Milwaukee’s first major festivals of the season are in the rear view mirror, we’re ready to look ahead to one of the city’s biggest late-summer undertakings. Bay View Bash will return to Kinnickinnic Avenue on Saturday, September 15. Though it’s still more than two months away, you’ll want to make sure you’re around to take in the sights and sounds of the behemoth block party. We’ll get you the entire lineup in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we’ve been given the go-ahead to let you know what we have lined for our first Bay View Bash.

Things will kick off with Shaddye. The 16-year-old Milwaukee rap sensation will be followed by an eclectic assemblage of local performers that includes SIN BAD, Paper Holland, Vincent Van Great, and a rare appearance by Sugar Stems. The Eradicator will make the trip up from Chicago to play its Kids In The Hall-inspired punk rock as well. Finally, Mike Krol will stop by the Bash as part of his “New Punk Markets” tour, which will be one of his first shows after releasing his new  “An Ambulance” b/w “Never Know” 7-inch. Here’s the full lineup and set times. We’ll see you September 15, Milwaukee!

11:00 a.m. — Shaddye
12:00 p.m. — SIN BAD
1:30 p.m. — Paper Holland
2:45 p.m. — The Eradicator

[Intermission – Check out what’s happening at other stages!]

8:00 p.m. — Mike Krol
