Occurring just days before the autumnal equinox, Bay View Bash is technically the last summer festival on Milwaukee’s massive collection of warm weather festivities. As such, the Bash is perennially the last festival to turn in its entertainment lineup. Though we don’t yet know every act who will be providing the aural pairing to the food, retailers, beer, and fun set to happen on a long stretch of Kinnickinnic Avenue on Saturday, September 17, the fine folks at Rush-Mor Records were kind enough to give us an early glimpse at the lineup for the North Stage, which owners Dan DuChaine and Bill Rouleau personally booked.
In recent years, the record store’s stage (which is co-sponsored by WMSE) has been home to lofty out-of-town gets like Cold Blue Mountain, Yonatan Gat, and Zero Boys, as well as lauded locals like Platinum Boys, Midnight Reruns, Heavy Hand, Rio Turbo, Space Raft, and Tigernite (before it was cool to book them on festivals!). This year, Rush-Mor’s stage will host an eclectic and enjoyable grouping of acts that includes a Girls Rock Milwaukee success story, a new Milwaukee punk rock supergroup, the return of a ’90s local mainstay, and touring talents from New York and Minneapolis. Here’s the full North Stage lineup, complete with set times.
