We’re all dealing with the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in our own ways: baking bread, yelling at people for baking bread, drinking, yelling at people for drinking, having an extended nervous breakdown, etc. But what is former FOX6 meteorologist Vince Condella doing to weather (ha) the coronavirus storm (ha ha), you ask? By playing some ditties on his guitar, posting those performances on Facebook and YouTube, and giving us all a reason to wake up in the morning.

Yes, Condella’s so-called “mini-concerts” are a Milwaukee delight. Every day since late March, the eternally youthful ex-weatherman has set up shop in his music room, donned a porkpie hat and/or a bandana, and strummed and crooned his way through the hits (and deep cuts) of Dylan, Springsteen, Prine, and the like. Here’s Condella’s first “mini-concert” from March 22:

Are the times still a-changin’? Yes they are:

More Dylan:

Condella’s dog, Archie the Piebald Wirehaired Dachshund, occasionally makes an appearance:

R.I.P. John Prine:

Want an original, COVID-19-themed blues song? Condella’s got you covered:

So yeah, these are great. Condella remains a warm and engaging onscreen presence (he retired in 2016), and his no-fuss musical delivery is as comforting as an old sweater. Plus, dude looks damn good for being in his 60s.
