Way back in April, Milwaukee Record decided to help raise funds for Arte Para Todos by throwing our first “Broken Up Band Bazaar” event. For a few hours on a spring Saturday, dozens of people came out to Black Husky Brewing to browse a wide selection of CDs, shirts, posters, and other merchandise from broken up bands, retired rappers, and defunct record labels that were priced to sell. Since the first one went over so well and our office is still cluttered with other people’s merch, we’ve decided to bring the Bazaar back.

Join us at Cactus Club on Saturday, October 14 from noon to 4 p.m.—during Beet Street Festivities—for your next chance to buy hard-to-find music from inactive projects. We’ll be selling a variety of items that were given to us and donating a portion of those proceeds to Milwaukee Women’s Center. We’re also seeking other vendors to take part in this. Interested parties should email [email protected] to apply. There will be a $10 booth fee, but vendors can keep 100 percent of their sales.

The 21+ event is free to attend. DJs from WMSE and 88Nine will be playing music, and Cactus Club will have drink specials. We hope to see you there.
