It’s all come down to this. Following a four-week competition that found a field of 64 songs by The Promise Ring facing one another in five heated rounds of voting, our March Sadness bracket has dwindled to just two remaining songs. Over the course of the tournament, more than 15,000 total votes were cast. There was some campaigning for votes, a few upsets, a little whining in the comments section, and (hopefully) a renewed appreciation for a truly exceptional Milwaukee band. Now that the dust has settled, we’re now left with a Final Round matchup very few could have envisioned at the beginning of the competition: “Everywhere In Denver” and “Why Did Ever We Meet” are going head-to-head.

“Everywhere In Denver” breezed through the 30 Degrees Everywhere Region with ease before toppling Very Emergency favorite, “Skips A Beat (Over You)” in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, “Why Did Ever We Meet” emerged from the strong Nothing Feels Good Region and ended the Cinderella story of “Tell Everyone We’re Dead” off the Boys + Girls EP in the semis.

The Finals run from March 29 (that’s today!) through 11:59 p.m. CST on March 30. The Final Round of Milwaukee Record‘s March Sadness bracket (and a JPG of the bracket itself to this point) can be found below!
