The last time we checked in with Milwaukee singer-songwriter ANDII—a.k.a. Andi Heath—she was battling a nasty case of “Winter Blues.” But that was way back in January 2022—what has ANDII been up to since?

Turns out, a lot. In addition to playing plenty of shows, Heath has been throwing her hat in the NPR Tiny Desk ring—submitting not one, but two songs/videos in the past year. The first, “Oh Me, Oh My (I Tried),” was recorded and submitted in 2023, but has just now been released on streaming platforms.

“The whole premise of the song deals with expending effort to make a relationship work to no avail,” Heath explains, “something I think a lot of people can relate to.” It’s a lovely tune, a breezy little concoction shot through with equal parts lightness and resignation. (“I cannot think of what I could have done to change the script / But had I been another girl, then you still might be with.”) Listen and watch here:

For her 2024 NPR Tiny Desk submission, Heath takes a more soulful approach with “This Kingdom For A Horse.” Oh, and she trades her previous clown outfit for some serious Midsommar vibes. Listen and watch here:

ANDII’s next Milwaukee show is a duo performance with Tori Yocum (Valley Fox), opening for U2Zoo at Shank Hall on Saturday, March 16. After that, she’ll appear solo at the Bremen Cafe for Independent Milwaukee Songwriter Night on Saturday, May 4.
