Those living in or around Bay View might know Ventura’s Taco as the popular taco truck that’s perpetually parked near the post office on Oklahoma Ave. Well, following months of planning, preparation, and renovation, Ventura’s will finally celebrate the grand opening of a permanent physical location this weekend.

The incoming Mexican restaurant can be found at 2899 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., the former site of East Side Ovens and one-time intended location of Sweet Rings until the bakery scrapped plans to move there in 2019. According to an announcement on Ventura’s Facebook page, the grand opening will be Sunday, May 30 from 12-6 p.m.

It appears as if the quaint corner establishment will have a few tables inside for in-person dining, as well as four tables outside. After Sunday’s grand opening, Ventura’s Taco will be open until 9 p.m. daily. You can call Ventura’s at (414) 324-0004 for more information. Or you can just ask us for more details next week because we’re going to be eating there often. Get excited, Bay View. It’s happening!
