Sure, there’s still more than a month of summer left, but Milwaukee is clearly already in the Halloween spirit. Today (10 days after we noticed Halloween goodies were starting to pop up at CVS), we learned about a different type of Halloween-related pop-up.

From Tuesday, October 29 through Saturday, November 2, Pomona Cider Co. (2163 N. Farwell Ave., 414-347-1515) and Awkward Nerds Events will join forces to present “What We Do In The Cider Haus,” a multi-faceted pop-up experience that honors the beloved FX series What We Do In The Shadows. During that five-day span, the East Side cider purveyor will transform into a Staten Island vampire abode, with decor, food, and drinks to suit the theme. From the press release:

“The event kicks off on October 29 with the ‘Blood Banquet,’ a private dinner inspired by the dark decadence of the vampire clan. On October 30, attendees can explore the supernatural world with vampire-themed Role Playing Game (RPG) sessions. The festivities culminate with Halloween parties on October 31 and November 1, complete with DJs and costume contests where guests can compete as their favorite characters from the show. November 2, the final day for the pop-up, will feature brunch and themed activities for guests to engage in.”

Though we have our doubts Milwaukee’s own Mark Proksch—who played Colin Robinson in the just-concluded series—will make an appearance, that shouldn’t stop you from sinking your teeth into “What We Do In The Cider Haus” pop-up at Pomona Cider Co. this fall.
