In late 2013, Milwaukee Beer Bistro opened in the former site of Rio West Cantina. Close to six years later, the Riverwest-based bar and restaurant is preparing to close its doors for good. On Thursday afternoon, Milwaukee Beer Bistro posted an announcement on Facebook stating Sunday, October 6 will be the business’ final day of operation. The post states:

“It is with great regret that we inform all of our amazing customers that this will be our last weekend open for business. But please come out and celebrate the six years we shared one last time! Prost!”

Before they shut it down, Milwaukee Beer Bistro is inviting customers to come party with them one more time during a so-called Closing Party this Sunday. From 3-7 p.m., the event will feature free food, “super drink specials” and closeout sales on liquor. Whether you’re saying goodbye to a favorite neighborhood haunt or you’re just looking to take advantage of some great food and drink specials, it looks like Milwaukee Beer Bistro is the place to be this Sunday.
