Every Wednesday at noon, Ryan Schleicher, Evan Rytlewski, and Matt Wild take to the WMSE airwaves to discuss all things Milwaukee. This half-hour fun-fest is called The Disclaimer, so named because none of the oft-ridiculous views expressed on the show necessarily reflect the views of the hosts’ employers. Milwaukee music, Milwaukee art, Milwaukee events, and D.I.Y. lawn care tips are frequently discussed—and rarely agreed upon. The Disclaimer: Talk radio for the sane.

The discussion surrounding Milwaukee’s need for more all-ages venues is so old that it can legally drink. For instance: Back in April, an op-ed in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel took a shot at 88Nine’s Backline program and insisted that what Milwaukee truly needed to become an “emerging music city” was a healthy all-ages scene. Now, months later, a planned sober venue dubbed The New State aims to bolster that scene. Ryan, Evan, and Matt talk about this ambitious project, as well as new parking meters—yes, new parking meters—and the (temporary?) end of Bird. Oh, and about that time Aaron Rodgers punched a shark.
