In case you missed it, MobCraft Beer is back! The popular Walker’s Point “crowdsourced” brewery at 505 S. 5th St. closed in November 2024 after eight years in business. But it didn’t stay shuttered for long: In March 2025, former employee Sarah Halstead and her husband Mike announced that they had purchased MobCraft, and that they would be reopening the business later this year.
“This brewery has always meant so much to us, and we can’t wait to carry forward its tradition, while adding our own fresh ideas,” Halstead said. “Expect the same great beer you love, plus some fun new twists, events, and reasons to gather with friends and family.”

And here’s one of those reasons: MobCraft’s Grand Re-Opening Weekend, October 10-12! The three-day blowout will feature a rotating lineup of guest taps (“while the new MobCraft beer pipeline ramps up,” explains a press release), food and snacks, live music, cribbage tournaments, yoga, dance parties, and more.
Fun! Here’s the full Grand Re-Opening Weekend schedule:
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10
• 1-3PM – Wollersheim Happy Hour Presentation – Come enjoy free samples and learn about our draft cocktails!
• 5-7PM – VIP Party in the Brewery – Invite only event celebrating everyone who helped us get our doors open! (Taproom and patio will be open to the public.)
• 6-9PM – LIVE MUSIC – The Flood – The Flood’s swinging rhythms and snappy solos will get you out dancing or your toes tapping!
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11
• 12:30-2:30PM – LIVE MUSIC – Overflow – Overflow crafts soundscapes that linger like late-night thoughts – where longing, rhythm, and reverb collide.
• 3-6PM – Bags in the Brewery! Enter our free Bags Challenge – 5 tosses per each 30-minute block for a chance to earn a door prize ticket for 1, 2, or 3 “cornholes” (successful toss into the hole). Prize drawings every half hour. There will also be a few bags sets for leisurely play – grab a partner and find another team!
• 6-9PM – LIVE MUSIC – Matt Mueller – A little bit of everything from the 60’s/70’s/80’s/90’s from classic rock to modern pop.
• 9-11PM – LIVE MUSIC – Lost Flamingo – Spinning house music on the production floor of the brewery, Lost Flamingo will be an exciting end to a day of festivities.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12
• 11-12PM – Yoga in the Brewery with Ashley of @midwestyogi – Bring a mat and get your Sunday off to a mindful start! Sign-up for the FREE session.
12-3PM – LIVE MUSIC – Anna Marie – Join Anna Marie for soulful renditions of soft rock and folk rock classic hits by Elton John, Eagles, Chris Stapleton, Beatles, Guns N’ Roses, and more!
• 12-3PM – Cribbage – Join us at 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, or 2:00 pm for Cribbage – Open Play for both singles & doubles competitions. For each “game” that you play, you’ll receive a free individual door prize ticket. Prizes will be drawn every 30 minutes. The more you play, the better chance you have to win! (We have a few house boards, but feel free to bring your own.)
• 3:25PM – Cheer on your favorite Green & Gold sports ball team!
