This past Saturday, Milwaukee Record and Lakefront Brewery teamed up to host “The Great Milwaukee Can Koozie Swap & Bar Chip Bonanza” at Club Garibaldi. From 1-4 p.m., dozens of people came to the Bay View bar to trade can koozies with each other. Adding to the can cooler-focused fun was our Prize Wheel, which folks were able to spin if they gave us a drink chip (or drink chip-like item) from any bar, restaurant, brewery, or distillery…regardless if it was still in business or not.
As usual, the event—making its long-awaited return after taking more than two years off—was a weird and altogether entertaining time. Deals were made, prizes were won, drinks and wings were consumed, and fun was had. Thanks to Lakefront for sponsoring, to Club Garibaldi for hosting us, and to all who took part in this unconventional event. We’re hoping to do it again sometime next year!
