We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again (and again): West Allis rules. The Milwaukee suburb has always had its charms and enjoyable amenities, but the city really seems to be hitting its stride in recent years. Part of the reason for the ongoing ‘Stallis upswing is a great bar on Becher Street that’s quickly become one of the city’s favorite new hangouts.
Since opening in 2019, Station No. 06 (6800 W. Becher St., 414-543-4230) has made a name for itself with its inventive cocktails, an impressive craft beer list, sporadic food pop-ups, an outstanding patio, and legendary meat raffles to raise money for charitable causes. On Saturday, August 23, the bar will celebrate its sixth anniversary with a winning blend of live music, rare beers, specialty cocktails, food, and fun. Station No. 06’s Station Sixth Anniversary will run from noon to 10 p.m. During that 10-hour span, there will be a lot happening, so—with the help of the bar’s Operator and Partner Miles Patzer—we’ve taken the liberty of breaking it into sections for you.
Music
Much of the anniversary party will feature live performances from local bands. There will be something for almost everyone. Here’s the schedule:
Stallis Cowboys — 1 p.m.
Cassini Echoes — 3:30 p.m.
Gold Steps — 6 p.m.
Exclusive Beers
The beer list at Station No. 06 is always on point, but they’ll be going the extra mile on August 23 by offering a bunch of rare beers, as well as some options that are typically only available at the actual taprooms of the breweries. The full list hasn’t been finalized, but some of the anniversary exclusives they’ve locked in include:
• 3 Sheeps x Station No. 06 Anniversary Barrel-Aged Stout
• Toppling Goliath x Hop Butcher Unwind Your Mind IPA
• St. Bernardus x Weihenstephaner Helles Lager
• Trillium Express Way IPA
• New Glarus Strawberry Rhubarb
• Central Waters Raspberries On Acid Sour
And more beers TBA from Half Acre, Perspective, and Young Blood.
Specialty Cocktails

Patzer says the cocktail list is still in the works, but it will feature the “Four Winds” award-winner from Bittercube’s Battle Royal cocktail competition. There will also be some old favorites “and an upgraded original from [the bar’s] first year in business.”
Food
According to Patzer, the food menu is still in development, but there are plans to highlight barbecue sourced from Becher Meats (located just a few doors down from the bar) with elevated twists. An example includes a Jalapeño Cheddar Smoked Texas Hot Link that’s “smoked and deep fried with house BBQ sauce and slaw on a homemade bun.” Expect homemade southern classic sides and other barbecue entrees like chopped brisket sandwiches. For dessert, The Bake Sale—another Becher Street business—will make something infused with Fernet (a go-to amaro at Station No. 06).
Parting Thoughts
We asked Patzer if he had anything else to add. Here’s what he said:
“We’re humbled to have another great lap around the sun. We continue to grow within the communities of West Allis and Milwaukee, and I’m so proud of the team we’ve got keeping the ship afloat. We’ve also had some amazing accolades this year—Cocktail Bar, Best of The Burbs, in Milwaukee Magazine, People’s Choice Winner at Bittercube’s Battle Royale—and I’m so happy to see people discovering what we bring to the table. Sometimes you just have to sit back, take it all in, and be proud of the community we’ve built.”
If you want to show your love for Station No. 06 or stop in for the very first time, make your way to the Station Sixth Anniversary on Saturday, August 23.
