Nearly a year after it was first announced, Biggby Coffee has finally opened in Red Arrow Park.
The Michigan-based coffee and light breakfast purveyor opened the doors of its new downtown Milwaukee location on Monday. It replaces a Starbucks that operated in the space for nearly two decades, and which closed in November 2023.
The Red Arrow Park Biggby Coffee, 920 N. Water St., is open Monday through Saturday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Patrons can enjoy coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and energy drinks, as well as breakfast items like “bragels,” muffins, and donut holes.
The location is operated by Milwaukee natives Curtis Grace and Keith Washington. The duo owns other Biggby locations in Franklin, Wisconsin, and Saint Charles, Illinois. They’re planning another location in Cudahy.
And yes, Biggby will be open during Red Arrow Park’s “Slice of Ice” ice skating hours. (We’re guessing you’ll still be able to rent skates there?)
“As long as there is something going on in the park, especially the ice skating rink, we want to be open and we want to serve those customers,” Washington told BizTimes in December 2023.
