Now that Thanksgiving is behind us and Christmas is coming quick, we’ve firmly entered “Hallmark Holiday Movie” season. Well, it turns out this year’s crop of new Hallmark Channel holiday films includes one with loads of local appeal. Yes, a brand new Hallmark flick called A ’90s Christmas is set right here in Milwaukee.

Here’s a brief synopsis for this nostalgia-laden, time-hopping movie, taken directly from the Hallmark Channel’s website:

“Workaholic lawyer Lucy Miller is celebrating her promotion alone on Christmas Eve when a mysterious rideshare experience transports her back to 1999. Reliving the holiday with her mom, sister and best friend–not to mention her high school crush–Lucy gets a second chance to understand where her relationships went wrong. Will this magical journey help her rewrite her future or leave her destined to be alone?”

A ’90s Christmas stars Eva Bourne as Lucy, and also features Days Of Our Lives regular and Hallmark movie mainstay Chandler Massey as love interest Matt, and Katherine Barrell (of Workin’ Moms and Good Witch notoriety) as the time-traveling rideshare driver.

Will Lucy hang out at Northridge Mall? Will her and Matt grab a bite at Oriental Drugs before seeing The Promise Ring at The Globe? Will it pretty much be like every other Hallmark movie, except characters will speak in a grating Minnesota accent because people think all Midwestern people talk like that? Yeah, it will probably just be that last thing.

You can see A ’90s Christmas on the Hallmark Channel at 9 a.m. on Sunday, December 8…then probably many more times for years and years to come. [h/t – Tim]
