Back in 2023, Milwaukee enfant terrible filmmaker Frankie Latina launched a GoFundMe for his third feature film, Skinny Dip. The horror flick was only in pre-production at that point, but its classic “campers being stalked in the woods” premise seemed perfect for a filmmaker who had delivered the cult classic Modus Operandi in 2009.

Fast-forward to 2025, and Skinny Dip is finally in production. Does the film star Milwaukee treasure Mark Borchardt? Yes it does. Does the film follow “a former author known as the master of bloodbath bestsellers who retreats to a remote Wisconsin lake cabin to finish a long-overdue manuscript and salvage his fading career”? Yes. Does the former author cross paths “with a group of carefree campers—unaware that a deadly presence is stalking the woods”? Yep. “As the campers are picked off one by one,” are they “forced to fight to survive the night”? You bet your ass they are.

And does Skinny Dip still need some generous GoFundMe donations to keep production moving along? Absolutely. Donate HERE!

Here’s a production update from Borchardt: “Hey, this is Mark Borchardt on the set of Frankie Latina’s new film Skinny Dip. We just blew up a boat.”
