Memorial Day is just around the corner. The weather is gorgeous. The sun is staying out past 8 o’clock. Life is good! Most importantly, Milwaukee’s festival season is about to be in full swing. While every local festival, block party, fair, and recurring music series has its own distinct personality, a number of them—especially those that take place at Henry Maier Festival Park and State Fair Park—feature the same iconic dish: The Sampler Platter.
In honor of this beloved bounty of deep-fried delicacies that’s earned the “festival fixture” distinction, Milwaukee Record has created a “Sampler Platter” T-shirt to help you show where your festival food allegiances stand and (ideally) to wear as you eat a Sampler Platter at any number of local happenings.
