It’s only been a few weeks since news blipped and blooped across our screen that retro arcade bar Up-Down MKE was coming to the site of the former Comedy Cafe. That project is still a few months off (it’s expected to open in February 2018), but now there appears to be another arcade bar headed our way—and headed our way much sooner.
According to BizTimes, Brunch owners Morgan and Michael Sampson plan to open 1983 Arcade Bar in the former site of Lucille’s Piano Bar, 1110 N. Old World Third St. Per BizTimes:
The arcade bar will feature 25 arcade cabinets, four pinball machines and two areas for people to play old console games like Nintendo or Sega Genesis, said Michael Sampson.
The bar will also serve a combined menu from Ale Asylum and Matador Taco, also tenants in the Riverfront Plaza building.
1983 will be open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Sundays. It is expected to open October 15. You want arcade bars, Milwaukee? You’ve got arcade bars.
