Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: handsome brothers Keenwah and Kiko.

Keenwah and Kiko are the handsomest brothers! Keenwah is social and snuggle-rific. He loves food, string toys, doggos, and doggo beds. He’s the first to start dinner and last to leave dinner. He’s your favorite cruise ship activities director, leading the way—whether it’s play time or bedtime. There’s potential to reach chonk status if you let him. Keenwah enjoys pretending he’s a big, furry scarf while you try to get some work done and he’s the winner of Cutest Napper Award.

Kiko is a shy, gentle soul who depends on his gregarious brother Keeners to lead the way and let him know he’s safe. Once he settles in, Kiko loves to chase and wrestle with his brother. Kiko looooves to be groomed and when he was a baby, he figured out that he can insert himself into already-happening grooming sessions and basically trick Keenwah into grooming him.

Both boys are very comfortable around calm dogs and have lived with three different larger dogs through their lives.

Keenwah will be sitting in your lap within five minutes of unpacking his bags—whether you’ve invited him or not! Kiko will take some time to get acclimated, but as long as he has some safe spots to tuck himself into when he gets overwhelmed, you’ll see him come out more and more as the days go by. Next thing you know, he’ll be gazing over the top of your latest romance novel, snuggled by your legs in bed.
