Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: Zeus, a shy guy with a big heart.
Zeus may have had a rough start as a stray cat found freezing in a snowy alley by a local handyman, but he’s making great strides on his journey to becoming a beloved member of a forever family. With a purr that sounds like a motor and a tendency to snore loudly, this handsome boy is full of charm and personality.
Despite his initial shyness, Zeus is learning to embrace the comforts of indoor life. While he may hiss occasionally when feeling scared or overwhelmed, he is loving being a pampered house cat. When it comes to playtime, Zeus is starting to discover the joy of wand toys and is eager to learn and explore his new environment. His chirpy nature shines through when he’s feeling happy and content, especially when it’s time to eat!
Zeus thrives on gentle affection once he feels comfortable in his surroundings. He’s slowly but surely seeking out attention and companionship, proving that with patience and understanding, he’ll blossom into a loving and devoted companion.
For Zeus, the ideal home would be a quiet environment with someone who has experience with cats and understands the importance of giving him the time and space he needs to adjust. He will require brushing to keep is lovely locks mat-free. He would thrive with a congenial cat friend to keep him company and show him the ropes of indoor life.
If you’re willing to open your heart and home to Zeus and provide him with the love and patience he deserves, you’ll be rewarded with endless purrs, chirps, and affection from this special boy. Adopt Zeus today and watch as he transforms into the perfect furry companion!
