Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we—with generous sponsorship from Skilos, A Family Pet Store—plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: The cute and cautious Tilly.
Meet Mootilda! So Mootilda—or “Tilly” to her friends—is the last of her siblings still searching for a forever home and it’s honestly starting to feel like an oversight by the universe.
Tilly is a sweet little treasure with a perfect face and a personality to match. She’s affectionate, friendly, and has a touch of that old soul energy. She’s the kind of kitten who carefully watches her siblings go first, not because she’s shy, but because she’s got survival instincts. She’s convinced the feather wand might be a predator, and she’s not about to be the first one taken out.

While other kittens go full chaos mode, Tilly likes to keep it classy. She’ll happily zoom around when the mood strikes, but she’s also perfectly content snuggling up for a cozy nap or purring her little heart out next to you.
She would love a home with another playful cat friend, ideally one who can show her the ropes and share in her more thoughtful approach to kitten shenanigans. She’d be a great fit for just about any household as long as there’s love, a cat pal, and maybe a bird toy or two.
Tilly’s not the last one left. She’s the best one still available. She is friends with other adoptable cats in her foster home, Traeger and Blaze, if you are interested in a pair.
