Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we—with generous sponsorship from Skilos, A Family Pet Store—plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a snuggle buddy named Joe.

Meet Joe, a one-of-a-kind kitty with a heart as big as his paws. This handsome boy was discovered outside and trapped by a kind community member. After recouping from his neuter, Joe’s true nature shone through—he’s a total sweetheart!

Joe adores pets and snuggles and will happily lounge around, earning him the title of “lazy lion.” His big paws and expressive eyebrows give him a unique, majestic look. Adding to his charm, Joe makes the most adorable owl-like noises when he’s excited or hungry.

When it comes to playtime, Joe has a soft spot for string toys with feathers. He’s not one to entertain himself, but will enthusiastically join in when you engage with him. Highly food-motivated, he’ll serenade you with his funny hooting as he eagerly awaits his meals or treats.

Joe is the sweetest and friendliest cat you’ll ever meet. He would thrive as the only cat in a home where he can soak up all the love and attention. If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy with a touch of wild charm, Joe is your guy!
