Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: Hope, a very affectionate gal with a little eye trouble.

Meet Hope! She’s a very affectionate gal with a little eye trouble. The number one thing she needs to be happy in her forever home is people to LOVE. Add good food and a warm place to sleep, then you’ll have one happy girl.

If you want an attentive friend, that’s Hope in a nutshell. She’ll be right by your side, giving you gentle paws to remind you that she’s there for you. Her absolute favorite thing to do is cuddle with people. She’ll chirp and give you face boops to let you know how much she enjoys being near you.

Hope does fine in a house with other respectful cats, but likely won’t interact with them much. She’s just more interested in humans. She would definitely be content as an only cat. Hope is easy going and adaptable.

Now a little about those eyes: Life outside was rough and due to lack of care, she has some corneal scarring that limits her eyesight a little. Don’t worry, she gets around just fine. Further issue is easily managed with supplemental lysine powder mixed in her food to boost her immune system. Easy-peasy! If you’re looking for loving feline companion with a beautiful black and white coat, Hope is your girl.
