Even though we’re now more than halfway into August, there’s still a lot of summer fun left. Adding to remaining large-scale event undertakings like Mexican Fiesta, WMSE’s Backyard BBQ, and Bay View Bash is a steady wave of other festivals, block parties, and music series that are scheduled to happen in and around “The City Of Festivals” between now and summer’s end.

The latest to be announced is a street party that will be taking place outside of Milwaukee’s first sensory deprivation flotation tank business. On Saturday, August 23, Float Milwaukee will host Float Fest 2025. Starting at 3 p.m., a parcel of pavement on the 200 block of Freshwater Way will be closed off to allow for live entertainment, food vendors, and fun in honor of the business’ 10th anniversary.

Your senses won’t be deprived at Float for a change, as Immortal Girlfriend performs. There will be a mermaid, calming soundscapes by Bernard from Adagio Sound Healing Studio, and on-site yoga from MKE Yoga Social. There will also be fire dancing by Sophie Shapeless, as well as aerialism from Mooncat and Kristin Smarelli, along with pole dancing from Pole Factory MKE. Float Festers are also encouraged to pick up food from Romero’s Taco Truck and the Cocina Filipina food trucks that will be parked at the festival. Broken Bat Brewing will also have beer, seltzer, and non-alcoholic options available for purchase on-site, and The Chai Company will be handling caffeinated beverages.

But there’s more! Those who attend the event will be the first people who can take advantage of Float’s anniversary specials, which the business says are so good they can’t mention them quite yet. Float Fest is free to attend. For more information on the event or to RSVP for updates and a chance to win prizes, go HERE.
