Between now and Monday afternoon, another WrestleMania will be in the books and the Milwaukee Brewers will begin another season. For a specific sect of sports fans, that’s like Christmas morning and New Years Eve stacked on top of each other, and that’s not even counting Sunday’s Bucks game that could potentially clinch a playoff spot. Needless to say, excitement is in the air.
Though we can’t make the time between now and these momentous events on the sports calendar pass any faster, we can offer wrestling nuts and Brewers fans a brief-but-beautiful distraction to ease the wait. Recently, ESPN baseball analyst and eSports enthusiast Dan Szymborski whipped up a video game simulation of Brewers slugger Ryan Braun as a wrestler. Donning a powder blue retro uniform, Braun kicks Bryce Harper in the balls, body slams Hunter Pence, and has his bat confiscated by a referee. It’s pretty great.
Happy WrestleMania and Opening Day, Milwaukee.
I haven’t made a baseball player wrestler since WBC or any #Brewers at all yet, so here’s some Ryan Braun action. pic.twitter.com/hOgZsKrs9g
