We here at Milwaukee Record are certified hoops enjoyers. Now that the worst Bucks season in recent memory is behind us, our basketball-related focus has shifted to the WNBA. The league’s 30th season tips off Friday night and we’ll be watching. If you’d like to take in some WNBA action with us this season, you’re in luck!

We’ve partnered with our friends at WYNK Seltzer + THC to bring you multi-faceted monthly WNBA watch parties. Once a month, we’re highlighting a specific game that will be shown (with sound on) at Cactus Club, both on the bar’s televisions and on a projector in the back room. There will be specials on WYNK and Pacifico (and you’ll get a ticket when purchasing either brand for a raffle that will be held after the third quarter). DJs will play music during commercial breaks.

Last and certainly not least, we’ve also lined up some halftime entertainment for you. Yep! Local musicians and comedians will treat hoopsters to a FREE abbreviated (12 to 15-minute) performance that will take place between the second and third quarter of that month’s chosen game. Here’s the game schedule and the halftime performers we have lined up so far…

Sunday, May 17 — Seattle at Indiana (5 p.m. tipoff)
Ellie Jackson

Sunday, June 28 — Minnesota at Dallas (1 p.m. tipoff)
Genesis Renji

Monday, July 13 — Los Angeles at Atlanta (6 p.m. tipoff)
Dana Ehrmann

Sunday, August 9 — Las Vegas at New York (11:30 a.m. tipoff)
Raegan Niemela

Tuesday, September 22 — Minnesota at Indiana (7 p.m. tipoff)
Performer TBA

October date(s), game(s), and performer(s) TBD.

Meet us at Cactus Club to watch some WNBA this season. We’ll see you there!
