It’s time to say farewell to another baseball season in Milwaukee. However, it’s never too early to start thinking about next year. Sure, the Brewers are cool and all, but we’re actually referring to two non-Major League games taking place in the region next September. On Tuesday, the Savannah Bananas announced they’ll be bringing their incomparable brand of “Banana Ball” to Franklin Field for a pair of challenger games against the Milwaukee Milkmen September 8-9.

If you’re unfamiliar with this traveling exhibition team, the Savannah Bananas play a strange and fun style of baseball in which games are limited to two hours, bunting and mound visits aren’t allowed, foul balls caught by fans count as outs, and players dance…a lot. Past Bananas games have also featured spectacles like a player who hits and pitches while wearing stilts, hitters shrinking their strike zone by batting while doing the splits, bats lit on fire, trick plays aplenty, and—we repeat—lots of dancing.

Tickets to these games, um, aren’t available yet because fan interest essentially broke the team’s website. Keep checking for your chance to catch one of these games in Franklin. In the meantime, brush up on the world’s most entertaining baseball team by watching Savannah Bananas videos like the one below.
