MILWAUKEE RECREATION TO HOST FOURTH ANNUAL WINTER WONDER WOODS
Event takes place on Dec. 9, 10, 16 & 17

Milwaukee Recreation will host the fourth annual Winter Wonder Woods event at Hawthorn Glen (1130 N. 60th St.) on December 9, 10, 16 & 17 from 5:00pm – 8:30pm. All are invited to take in the festive sights and sounds of the Glen while enjoying a winter-themed hike and light display.

Hawthorn Glen will be decorated with over 70,000 lights that will line a quarter mile of trails (map will be provided). In addition to the lights, the trail will feature various holiday and nature-themed displays that highlight winter holidays celebrated throughout December. The trail will also include a selfie station, hiking Santa, educational facts and more. New this year, participants can complete a scavenger hunt along the trail. Following the hike, participants are welcome to sit by the fire and enjoy warm drinks and treats available for purchase at the concessions area (cash only).

The event costs $4/person and children ages 2 and under are free. Participants are asked to arrive at their scheduled time as parking is extremely limited in both the Hawthorn Glen parking lot and on Martin Drive, a nearby street with parking (street parking is not permitted on 60th St.). Pre-register online at mkerec.net/wonderwoods or call 414.647.6050 for more information.
