Dining Out For Life returns to Milwaukee September 24–26
23 participating locations will support Vivent Health’s local HIV care and services
MILWAUKEE — Dining Out For Life, the annual event supporting Milwaukeeans living with and affected by HIV, will run Thursday, September 24, through Saturday, September 26, with more participating restaurants than ever before. Diners can enjoy meals out, order takeout, or donate directly, all while supporting essential HIV prevention, care, and treatment services provided by Vivent Health.
Participating restaurants will donate a portion of sales to Vivent Health, with all funds raised staying local to support community members in need. These donations help address gaps between restricted funding and patients’ needs, including essentials such as food, shelter and medication.
There are 23 participating restaurants, specialty shops and taverns spanning the Third Ward all the way to Pewaukee. Whether it’s enjoying Spanish- and Portuguese-inspired dishes at Amilinda, grabbing a casual bite at Lakefront Brewery, starting your day with coffee from Midwest SAD, or indulging in a fine dining experience at Sanford, there’s something for every taste and budget.
“Federal cuts will have a direct impact on the life-saving services people count on right here in the Milwaukee area,” said Brandon Hill, PhD, Vivent Health’s President and CEO. “Our neighbors’ need for care doesn’t disappear when funding does. Dollars raised through Dining Out For Life help pay for HIV prevention, care and treatment that people depend on. Going out for a meal may seem like a small act, but together, we can help keep that care within reach.”
Vivent Health brings together healthcare and social services to help people live their healthiest lives. Its approach recognizes that addressing food insecurity, housing instability and other barriers is essential to helping people stay connected to care.
