Every Wednesday at noon, Ryan Schleicher, Evan Rytlewski, and Matt Wild take to the WMSE airwaves to discuss all things Milwaukee. This half-hour fun-fest is called The Disclaimer, so named because none of the oft-ridiculous views expressed on the show necessarily reflect the views of the hosts’ employers. On their final show of 2018, Ryan, Evan, and Matt get a crash course (via Evan) on type beats, a.k.a. publicly available hip-hop beats done in the style of popular artists. Many technical problems ensue, sending the trio running from one studio to another whilst struggling with sound card issues. Fun! (Note: the beats sounded weird in the studio, but appear here in their proper form.) Next, Matt rounds out the half hour by talking about something he’s thankful for: the Cactus Club.
