Born and raised on the south side of Milwaukee, John Sparrow‘s first rock concert was the Violent Femmes in the early ’90s. He’s now been their drummer since 2005. The percussionist has toured all around the world, performed at legendary venues like the Sydney Opera House and Red Rocks Amphitheater, and has shared the stage with some of music’s biggest names. John joined The Show to talk about growing up in Milwaukee, how he got into music, tour life, the Milwaukee music scene, blind auditioning for the Violent Femmes, eating giraffe in South Africa, the paranormal, and much more.
