Summerfest isn’t just a two-week extravaganza of music, food, soul-searching, and Paris Hilton—it’s a gift that keeps on giving. Take today, for instance, which finds Summerfest Foundation, Inc. announcing Tap Thursdays, two free end-of-the-summer concerts slated for Thursday, September 17,  and Thursday, September 24. The first will feature The Mitch Shiner Vibes Quartet; the second will feature The Helio Sequence and Milwaukee’s own Canopies. (Nice!) Both shows will take place on the Johnson Controls World Sound Stage at 7 p.m. The Mid Gate will open at 6:30 p.m.

Not enough? Concertgoers 21 and over who arrive between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. will receive a free Leinenkugels Oktoberfest beer. Other drinks and food will be available, too, though there’s no word on whether that dude who dresses like an S&M Hagar The Horrible or whatever will be there. [via BizTimes]
