If you’re seeking a night of noisy nostalgia in or around Milwaukee Friday, October 3, the decision of what to do just got a lot more difficult. It was just announced that—in addition to Braid’s Cactus Club appearance that night—The Suicide Machines will take the diminutive stage at the vastly-underrated Metal Grill in Cudahy.

The legendary Michigan punk band had an outstanding run between the early ’90s and when they called it quits in 2006. However, The Suicide Machines resumed playing together for festivals and reunion show mini-tours in 2009. They’ll be joined on the bill by Direct Hit! (playing its final Wisconsin show of fall/winter), Louisiana punkers Pears, and Eau Claire pop-punk mainstay Arms Aloft. The all-ages show (hence Cudahy) starts at 7:30 sharp. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door.

With the early start time, it’s actually possible to see The Suicide Machines and Braid on the same night. That is, unless Smashmouth books an impromptu 9 o’clock show at Whammy Bar in West Allis or something.
