Legendary pop-rock duo Sparks are set to play Milwaukee’s Pabst Theater on Thursday, July 6! Tickets—which range from $39.50 to $79.50—go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 3 at 10 a.m.! A presale will begin on Thursday, February 2 at noon! YES!
The Sparks brothers (Ron and Russell Mael) were subjects of a recent all-star documentary by Edgar Wright. The group has been delighting and confounding since the early 1970s; a new album, The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte, is due May 26 on Island Records.
The show is part of a world tour that will kick off May 23 in the UK, and wrap up July 25 in Japan.
“We are thrilled to be back on tour again and to be able to share our joy with so many Sparks fans around the world,” say Sparks in a press release. “See you all soon! It’s a Sparks show, a Sparks show, a Sparks show tonight!”
Local Sparks expert Rick Katschke says this will be Sparks’ first Milwaukee show in 40 years, and we believe him. Get ready!
From what I can tell, this appears to be the first @sparksofficial show in Milwaukee in 40 years!
Last one I can find is Summerfest 1983.https://t.co/FfPeEle9Sx
