When one thinks of Coolio and Milwaukee, one typically thinks of performances at the Wisconsin State Fair as part of the unkillable “I Love The ’90s” tour, or drop-ins at a Bucks halftime show. One does not, typically, think of intimate performances and meet-and-greets at Riverwest’s Mad Planet. But here we are: On Friday, February 24, as part of Planet’s long-running Friday Retro Dance Party, Coolio will, well, perform. And do a meet-and-greet after the show. Huh.
Tickets are $15 at the door. Doors open at 9 p.m., and “Gangsta’s Paradise” is expected around, oh, let’s say 11. Eat your hearts out, Public Enemy at Red Dot Tosa.
