The term “supergroup” gets thrown around a lot these days, but sometimes there’s just not a better way to refer to a band that’s composed of members from other excellent projects. Well, when it comes to Wisconsin bands, All Done Bye Bye is a certified supergroup. The brand new aural endeavor features a stacked cast of musicians from noted Milwaukee and Madison projects including Bug Moment, Garden Home, Endswell, and Excuse Me, Who Are You?, as well as the founder of Thumbs Up Records (which has released music by many of those aforementioned acts).

Last Friday, All Done Bye Bye announced their presence with the release of the band’s debut single. “You Won!” serves as a departure from the members’ other emo- and screamo-leaning projects, as a sludgy and decidedly shoegraze-y salvo of instrumentation blankets Jasmine Rosenblatt’s melodic lyrics of resignation. As the song progresses and the music intensifies, Dylan Mazurkiewicz supplies his distinctly coarse and cathartic screams—that local music fans surely recognize from Garden Home—to bring the song to a close.

As we all await more material and (hopefully?) some live outings from the new Wisconsin supergroup, we suggest you get acquainted with All Done Bye Bye and listen to “You Won!” wherever you stream music.
