In case you missed the news, The Vanguard announced it will be spending a Halloween-adjacent night dressed as “Mondo Taco.” The one-night pop-up event that doubles as a collaboration with Mondo Lucha! and a variety of area chefs is the latest installment of the Bay View bar and restaurant’s annual holiday tradition. Previous iterations have found sausage joint temporarily taking the form of a Chinese restaurant, a seafood shack, a Seinfeld tribute bar, an ’80s era comedy club, a honky tonk saloon, a sports bar called “Whooterz” and more.

Yes, from 5 p.m. to close on Thursday, October 29 (that’s tomorrow), the beloved sausage establishment will temporarily operate as the site of a self-described “Taco Battle Royale” that will feature an eclectic menagerie of specialty tacos created by a wide variety of Cream City culinary pros. Check out the full menu below and make your way to The Vangu… we mean “Mondo Taco” starting at 5 p.m. tomorrow!
