Back in May, we spoke to Delta Routine frontman Nick Amadeus about a series of 20th anniversary shows for the beloved Milwaukee band, and about the group’s plans for the future. “Honestly, this feels more like a celebration of our past than a full-on restart,” Amadeus said. “We’re thrilled for the upcoming shows, but with everyone’s busy lives, you’ll likely see more of us in other musical projects moving forward.”

Enter Amadeus’ debut solo single, “Save Our Soul.” The song is big departure from The Delta Routine’s swaggering indie-rock; on “Save Our Soul,” Amadeus takes a decidedly more country-inspired approach. Listen to it now:

“I’ve really been on a more Americana/country kick recently, and it has really inspired me to write some songs again,” Amadeus explains. “While I have a few songs that were further along in the process, ‘Save Our Soul’ just jumped out and got me excited to release it into the world.”

Consider us in the “excited” camp, too. Amadeus plans to release a full-length record by the end of the year.
