Milwaukee is chock full of things to do, but only a handful of Milwaukee events are worthy of the lofty honor of “Record Recommended” (patent pending). Here are our recommendations for June 29 – July 5, 2026, brought to you by Wynk.

MONDAY, JUNE 29

Sincere Engineer Acoustic Performance + In-Store Signing @ Lilliput Records
A few days after appearing at Summerfest, Sincere Engineer’s Deanna Belos will play a free all-ages in-store performance at Lilliput Records, followed by a signing of the band’s new album, Probable Claws, at Lilliput Records. You can RSVP here.

Die Sexual + Memory Spector, Goth Barge DJs @ X-Ray Arcade
“Die Sexual is the Los Angeles-based dark electronic duo of Rosselinni and Anton Floriano. Conjuring their influences of ebm, techno and electropop, their sound is an intoxicating mix of analog synthetics and seductive vocals. Pure dancefloor decadence forged by pulsating rhythms and dripping sensuality. Die Sexual entices you to join their journey from out of the shadows to under the strobe lights.”

TUESDAY, JUNE 30

Bob Uecker Mural Tailgate Party @ North facade of Wintrust Financial Center, 731 N. Jackson St.
In case you missed it, the 100-foot Bob Uecker mural in downtown Milwaukee is finished, and it’s incredible. So let’s party! Milwaukee Downtown is throwing a “tailgate-themed” party to commemorate the completion of the mural. The party will include remarks from Mayor Cavalier Johnson, artist Mauricio Ramirez, and folks from the Milwaukee Brewers. Members of the Uecker family will also be in attendance. According to a press release: “The first 500 guests of legal drinking age will have the opportunity to enjoy a can of Miller Lite, courtesy of Molson Coors, for a celebratory toast. After the program, 500 brats will be distributed along with ballpark snacks and bottled water. Entertainment and games will be provided by the Milwaukee Brewers Dance Crew, Street Team, DJ James, Bernie Brewer, Barrelman, and the Famous Racing Sausages.” The party begins at 11:30 a.m.

Rap J & Friends: Rap J + Riz, Amara, DJ Dscribe, Darrin Alston @ Cactus Club
“Rap J is an artist born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At the age of six years old, he started freestyling and discovered his passion for hip hop. Born with cerebral palsy, Rap J uses music to express himself and showcase that the condition does not define him. His musical influences include Michael Jackson, Biggie, and Tyler, The Creator. Rap J has had the privilege of playing Summerfest, Cactus Club, Bronzeville Fest, 2023 WAMI Awards, Shank Hall, Anodyne, and Drunken Cobra, and each show has reinforced his passion for music and connecting with audiences.”

Chill On The Hill: American Legion Band @ Humboldt Park
There’s nothing better than Chill On The Hill, and there’s nothing more patriotic than Chill On The Hill with the American Legion Band on the Tuesday before the Fourth of July. Get to Humboldt Park early for this family-friendly summertime tradition.

Riverwalk Commons Concert Series: Social Cig @ Milwaukee Public Market

WEDNESDAY, JULY 1

Milwaukee Record Club: Canada Day (All Canadian Artists) @ Wiggle Room
We’re taking over the Wiggle Room decks for a Wednesday night monthly collaborative vinyl spin we’re calling “Milwaukee Record Club.” From 6-9 p.m., we’ll drop the needle on vinyl releases that adhere to the month’s specific theme. Though we’ll bring enough music to cover a full set, we’re asking—no, we’re strongly encouraging—people to bring in their own vinyl that fits our chosen theme. If we think it’s a fit, we’ll play it!

Sonido Gallo Negro + Rudy De Anda, Ambulante y Clandestino @ Cactus Club
“Sonido Gallo Negro is a band from Mexico City going back to the roots of psychedelic tropical music with guitars, eccentric organs, analog synthesizers, theremin. They mix exotic rarity and esoterism which will alter your perception and force you to dance until you get exhausted. Add to it visual hypnotics and live performance by Dr. Alderete. Since 2010, they have had multiple tours around Europe and America, visited 20 countries and more than 50 cities. Five studio albums later, they became one of the most recognized bands of Mexico City.”
