It’s that time of year again! Last week, the folks behind the Wisconsin Area Music Industry unveiled the field nominees for their 2026 awards show shindig, which is set to take place Sunday, May 17 at Atwood Music Hall in Madison. And wouldn’t you know it…your pals at Milwaukee Record are up for an award again!
Specifically, we’re in the running for a “Web Media” award in the People’s Choice category. Other categories include New Artist, Rising Star, Song of the year, Album of the Year, Video of the Year, Performer of the Year, Vocalist of the Year, Instrumentalist of the Year, and Musician’s Choice. You can cast your votes in this preliminary round HERE.
There’s one ballot per email, and voters must pick a few nominees in order to help thin the field and to, you know, prove they’re human. So give Breaking & Entering, Tone Madison, or any other nominee you enjoy a little bit of love too. Voting runs through March 18. Finalists will be named shortly after that and, as noted above, the 2026 WAMI Awards will take place at Madison’s Atwood Music Hall on Sunday, May 17. You can learn more about that event HERE.
