Last weekend, R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe came to Turner Hall for a meet and greet event in support of the Harris-Walz campaign. About six months from now, the very same historic downtown ballroom will play host to another R.E.M.-adjacent event. Famed character actor Michael Shannon and accomplished musician Jason Narducy (Bob Mould Band, Superchunk, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Split Single) will bring their “Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy And Friends” band to Milwaukee’s Turner Hall on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

The concert, which is the penultimate appearance on a 19-show tour, will celebrate the 40th anniversary of R.E.M.’s sophomore album, Fables Of The Reconstruction. Shannon, Narducy, and company will perform the 1985 album in sequence and in its entirety. “Then we will dig deep into the R.E.M. catalog to round out the performance,” Narducy says in a press release. “Each show will have unique setlists. We love celebrating the music of this great band.”

Tickets to all of these Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy And Friends shows—including the March 13, 2025 Turner Hall outing—go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 27.
