Hip-Hop Week MKE 2020 canceled due to COVID-19
Due to the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hip-Hop Week MKE for 2020 has been canceled, Alderman Khalif J. Rainey said today.
“Although Hip-Hop Week MKE is an important celebration that allows the community to take in the educational, historical, musical, and artistic aspects of Hip-Hop, the decision to cancel the event was necessary due to COVID-19,” Alderman Rainey said. “Despite the cancellation, Hip-Hop Week MKE will be back next year better and stronger than ever.”
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude for all those who make Hip-Hop Week MKE possible. From the sponsors to the supporters and the participants, Hip-Hop Week MKE would not be the successful celebration that it is without the dedication of everyone involved,” said Alderman Rainey.
Hip-Hop Week MKE will return next year ready to serve as a community-building event for all Milwaukee residents.
