When it comes to events, Milwaukee’s 91.7 WMSE always brings the goods. The 45-year-old independent, listener-supported, freeform radio station is responsible for the annual Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser, the annual Art & Music, the annual Big Band Grandstand, the weekly Local/Live, and so much more. And now the station is entering the world of EDM festivals with its inaugural Radiate, a free, all-day blowout set for Saturday, May 30 at Third Space Brewing, from noon until midnight.
“Milwaukee has an incredible electronic music community, but it has not always had a central, visible platform that brings it all together,” says WMSE DJ and Radiate curator Jayx. “Radiate is about creating that space. It is a full-day showcase of local talent and a chance for people to experience the depth of this scene in one place.”

Beyond the beats, Radiate will feature food trucks, local vendors, and local art. The FREE fest is presented by McLaughlin & Hayes Hat Co., with additional support from Menomonee Valley Partners, Bublr Bikes, KittenCrochet ‘N Such, Third Space Brewing, and MSOE.
“WMSE has always been about giving a voice to music and communities that might otherwise be overlooked,” says WMSE Station Manager Tom Crawford. “Radiate is a natural extension of that mission, and an opportunity to support and elevate a growing part of Milwaukee’s music culture.”
